Exporting/Importing to Saudi Arabia – Update on WATER RATIONALIZATION LABEL Requirements
Intertek has been informed by SASO that Taps and Mixers used for sanitaryware products shall be in compliance to the requirements of SASO adopted EN Standard SASO EN 246-Sanitary tapware. General specifications for flow rate regulators.
The adoption of this Standard was published in the Saudi Gazette in February 2020 with completion by 6 months of publication. Intertek Offices shall now only accept those SABER Product certification requests that are in compliance to this standard.
Applicable tariff codes affected by this update are as below:

The implementation date of the updated Water Rationalization requirements for affected products in accordance with the Standard SASO EN 246 at KSA Ports and Borders shall be from 28th September 2020 onwards.
