Exporting/Importing to Saudi Arabia – Additional products now require the mandatory approved Importer declaration form

Starting from 10th May 2023 onwards, the Saudi Standards and Metrology Organization  (SASO) will be expanding the list of products that require the mandatory submission of an Importer declaration form approved by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, before the issuance of Shipment Certificates of Conformity (S-CoCs) in SABER. The additional products and their KSA Customs Tariff Codes are listed below:

  • Ceramic Tiles 
    (KSA Customs Tariff Code 69072300)
  • Other Paints and Varnishes 
    (KSA Customs Tariff Code 32089090)
  • Carpet, Carpeting and Rugs 
    (KSA Customs Tariff Code 57024210)

Note: All 12-digit sub-codes (if any) under the above-mentioned KSA Customs Tariff Codes are covered by this requirement.

The Importer declaration form on its approval by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources will include a system-generated barcode. Intertek will be verifying the submission of the approved Importer declaration form before finalising the S-CoCs in SABER.
