Update on Energy Efficiency Requirements for Electric Motors

Update on requirements of SASO IEC 60034-30.

Following the previous Circular issued by SASO which requires compliance of electrical motors to the energy efficiency requirements of SASO IEC 60034-30. Exporters/Manufacturers of such products should ensure that testing of electrical motors under the scope of the Energy Efficiency Standards is performed by SASO approved laboratories.

Additionally, SASO has recently issued a Circular as an update to the previous EER requirements for Electric Motors wherein SASO has stressed that all Electric Motors regulated under the scope of the EER should be registered with SASO for EER certification.
