Exporting Food to Egypt - Intertek approved by NFSA to Certify additional Regulated Products

The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) has approved Intertek to certify consignments of the following regulated Food products and Food Contact Materials exported to Egypt from various Countries of Supply (CoS) under the NFSA Certification Programme:

  • Meat and its products
  • Milk and dairy products
  • Poultry and its products
  • Nuts
  • Cereals and their products
  • Seeds
  • Legumes
  • Baby food products
  • Breakfast Cereal
  • Mixed foods
  • Beverages and beverages mixes  
  • Fruit juice
  • Energy drinks, alcoholic, carbonated, non-carbonated, non-fruit drinks and malt drinks
  • Condiment and mixed condiment
  • Spices and mixed Spices
  • Herbs
  • Mixed soup and cubes
  • Bottled drinking water, mineral natural water and soda
  • Sugar products
  • Flour
  • Edible fats and oils, substitutes for fats and their various mixtures
  • Food Flavors and Flavor Enhancers 
  • Salt
  • Food additives
  • Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Sauces Preparations, Vinegar and Vinegar substitutes, Baking powder, Yeast, Special ingredients 
  • Chocolate and cocoa-containing products
  • Fish and aquatic products
  • All kinds of eggs
  • Tea and coffee
  • Fresh and processed fruits and vegetables
  • Fruit concentrates, nectars and juices
  • Pastries
  • Honey
  • Biscuits, Cakes, Snacks, Energy Bar, Special Nutritional Food and Nutritional Supplements
  • Baked goods
  • Ready-to-eat food products and packaged food
  • Instant food mixes and ready-to-cook foodstuffs
  • Food Contact Materials 

Effective immediately, the consignments for these regulated Food products exported to Egypt from over 40 approved Countries of Supply (CoS) can now be issued with a Certificate of Inspection (CoI) by Intertek for faster Customs clearance at the Egyptian Ports/Borders.
