Intertek GTS Quality System Certifications and Accreditations

Intertek Government and Trade Services (GTS) supports Governments, Customs Authorities and National Standards Organizations, by ensuring that imported goods comply with international safety and quality standards. GTS expertise and competency in the field of certification and inspection is well demonstrated through its various ISO accreditations granted by well reputed ISO accreditation and certification bodies.

Intertek GTS commitment to quality and customer service excellence is declared in the Intertek GTS Quality Policy and Quality-Business Objectives (PDF).

Below is a summary of GTS Quality System Certifications and Accreditations:

LLYOD’S REGISTER (LRQA)

Intertek GTS is globally certified by LRQA to ISO 9001 standard covering a total of 32 offices. The remaining offices that are not yet covered in this certification will also be added into the scope progressively.

Scope of Certification: The worldwide provision of Consignment based Conformity Assessment and Physical Inspection Services to Governments.

GCC Accreditation Center (GAC)

GAC has granted ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation to the following Intertek GTS Regional Offices;

• MENA Region
  • GTS Dubai office with Manila Operations Center (MOC) as a Site Location 
    Scope of Accreditation: SASO SALEEM Scheme, Kuwait KUCAS Scheme and Internal Scheme for Food Consignment, Cosmetics and Perfumery Products and Tobacco Products Certification Programme for KSA.

  • GTS Shanghai office with Manila Operations Center (MOC) as a Site Location
    Scope of Accreditation: SASO SALEEM and Internal Scheme for Cosmetics and Perfumery Products and Tobacco Products Certification Programme for KSA

• EUROPE Region
  
  • GTS UK office with Manila Operations Center (MOC) as a Site Location   
    Scope of Accreditation: SASO SALEEM Scheme and Internal Scheme for Food Consignment, Cosmetics and Perfumery Products and Tobacco Products Certification Programme for KSA.

• AMERICAN Region
  • GTS Miami office with Manila Operations Center (MOC) as a Site Location 
    Scope of Accreditation: SASO SALEEM and Internal Scheme for Cosmetics and Perfumery Products Certification Programme for KSA.

GAC has also granted a global accreditation to ISO/IEC 17020 standard:

Intertek GTS is globally accredited by GAC to ISO/IEC 17020 standard, covering a total of 29 offices and 54 inspection site locations. The remaining offices and inspection site locations that are not yet covered in this accreditation will be added into the scope progressively.

Scope of Accreditation: Consignment inspection and conformity assessment inclusive of the following activities for various Government Client contracts, where applicable;

• Marking and Labelling verification on the products and their packaging
• Verification of Instruction Manual/Operating Manual
• Sampling for Inspection
• Container Loading Supervision and Container Sealing
• Quantity verification
• Vehicle Identification and Physical and Functional Verification for Automotive and Related Vehicles
• Consignment Inspection of Bulk shipments including Quantity verification and Verification of labelling for bulk shipments
  
  

SAUDI ACCREDITATION CENTER (SAAC)

Intertek Saudi IGO is locally accredited by SAAC to ISO/IEC 17020 standard covering the SASO Inspection Scheme for LPG Transport Vehicles. Further, Saudi IGO is also accredited by SAAC to ISO/IEC 17065 standard covering the SFDA Food and Cosmetics schemes.
