Any activity which involves discharging to the environment and which can affect the water environment must prove that the waste has been tested and is below limits set out in The Water Environment (Controlled Activities) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 and The Water Environment (Water Framework Directive) (England and Wales) Regulations 2017.
