Intertek offers a range of "in silico" methods and techniques for cosmetic products and ingredients.

Intertek Safety Experts are using various alternative methods allowing to evaluate cosmetic raw materials and finish products.

Using “in silico database”, read-across and various concept such as TTC (Toxicological Threshold Concern), Intertek accredited toxicologists are able to assess the safety profile of cosmetics.

These approaches support cosmetic manufacturers in meeting regulatory requirements (such as the EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC 1223/2009) including the recent implemented Testing Ban) whilst ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
