Ellie Pittman
Ellie Pittman, Safety Engineer Manager for Intertek Product Assurance, has at the company for the past 4 years. Where standards fall short, Ellie serves to educate clients on product hazard and develop customized safety assessments to meet their unique needs. With her thorough knowledge of product safety, Ellie is able to consult with clients on potential product hazards and advise them on mitigation strategies that can increase their brand value by drastically reducing a product’s potential to injure a consumer or result in a product recall.

Gareth Emerson
Gareth Emerson, Director for the Intertek Product Intelligence, is responsible for the U.K. and European Operations. With a particular focus on the toy category, Gareth works with some of the world's largest multi-national companies to ensure protection of their brands and develop safe, legally compliant products and processes. Gareth's work ranges from consulting, crisis management and even to the strategic development of corporate safety governance processes. Gareth has a Diploma in the Electrical Engineering, is a qualified ISO Lead Auditor and is currently working towards his MBA through the University of Edinburgh.

Keith Rhoades
Keith Rhoades, Technical Manager & Lab Manager for Intertek Product Assurance, comes from a background in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design. Keith started his professional career with Intertek assessing toys and children’s products and has now branched out to develop customized standards and test methods for all consumer products. His most recent works include developing Human Factors models and hazard assessment techniques in the areas of battery ingestion, anthropometrics, eye impact injuries, suffocation, airway obstruction and aspiration. Keith’s diverse skill set has offered numerous solutions to clients’ safety processes, product designers, manufacturers, and research and development teams.

Lauren Lomanto
Lauren Lomanto is a Project Manager for Intertek's Product Assurance group. She has been with Intertek since 2011. Lauren helps customers to understand the ways in which children will use and interact with products based on their developmental skills and abilities. She also evaluates consumer products to identify applicable safety hazards and offer potential mitigation strategies. She holds a BA in Psychology from DePaul University and an MS in Child Development from the Erikson Institute.
