Intertek's Qualified Personnel (IQP) Program provides trusted inspectors and installers so AHJs can be more efficient.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), defines a "qualified person" as an employee who, by possession of a recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or who by extensive knowledge, training, and experience, has successfully demonstrated the ability to solve or resolve problems relating to the subject matter, the work, or the project.

Intertek’s Qualified Personnel (IQP) Program brings peace of mind to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) by independently qualifying personnel to ensure that their inspections or installations meet industry requirements. Personnel qualified through Intertek are held to a higher standard making them part of an elite group of installers and inspectors.

Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
As an AHJ, you need to know and trust your partners. Rest easy when you see that an Intertek Qualified Personnel (IQP) was on the job. As an AHJ, you deal with a variety of time and resource constraints - all of which stand in the way of you doing your number one job: keeping people safe. Knowing that, Intertek created the IQP Program to allow AHJs to ease their load by partnering with a trusted and qualified third-party installer or inspector.

By partnering with leading industry organizations, Intertek enhances their installation or inspection programs by thorough qualification and by adding additional requirements, including audits and continued education, to ensure program members are elite members of their industry.
