Intertek Qualified Personnel (IQP) Program
Intertek's Qualified Personnel (IQP) Program provides trusted inspectors and installers so AHJs can be more efficient.
Intertek’s Qualified Personnel (IQP) Program brings peace of mind to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) by independently qualifying personnel to ensure that their inspections or installations meet industry requirements. Personnel qualified through Intertek are held to a higher standard making them part of an elite group of installers and inspectors.
Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
As an AHJ, you need to know and trust your partners. Rest easy when you see that an Intertek Qualified Personnel (IQP) was on the job. As an AHJ, you deal with a variety of time and resource constraints - all of which stand in the way of you doing your number one job: keeping people safe. Knowing that, Intertek created the IQP Program to allow AHJs to ease their load by partnering with a trusted and qualified third-party installer or inspector.
By partnering with leading industry organizations, Intertek enhances their installation or inspection programs by thorough qualification and by adding additional requirements, including audits and continued education, to ensure program members are elite members of their industry.
Qualified Hardware Installer Program
As an IQP – Hardware Installer, you can properly prepare Intertek certified fire doors bearing the Warnock Hersey Mark for the installation of specific locks and accessories while remaining compliant with NFPA 80.
Qualified Fire & Egress Door Inspector

Drywall Installer Program

Firestop Inspector Program
Firestop inspectors enrolled in the Intertek IQP Program have their inspection model and reporting structure routinely audited by Intertek to ensure that firestop inspections are reported to the AHJ in a manner compliant with the testing standards. Intertek audits also seek to ensure that firestop is compliant to the 2012 or later version of the International Building Code as approved by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Raceway Installer Program
Raceway Installers are trained and certified to retrofit existing doors with raceways for the installation of electrical wiring for enhanced features such as access controls or other electrified hardware while maintaining the door’s fire resistance rating.
