The electrical installation standard IEC 60079-14: 2007 specifies the competency levels and requirements for people involved in the manufacture and installation of equipment designed for use in hazardous atmospheres. CompEx is an internationally recognized qualification for hazardous locations installation, inspection and design, demonstrating compliance with the requirements of IEC 60079-14.

COVID-19 health and safety measures
With the industry requirement for CompEx qualifications, it is vital that during this pandemic our centres and courses operate in a way to keep our customers and staff safe. We have implemented the Governments guidance throughout our centres to enable adequate social distancing and hygiene measures. These include the following: a detailed precautionary strategy, one-way walking systems throughout the centres, cleaning schedules and social distancing measures in place. Additionally, all delegates attending our courses receives a face mask to be worn at all times, gloves and hand sanitizer on arrival.
Our 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course is recognised and accredited by City & Guilds Level 3 to the Requirements of Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018). Attending this course will teach the following fundamentals:

• Changes to the disconnection times for certain circuits,
• Further requirements for circuit protection in domestic dwellings,
• Considerations for Arc Fault Detection in many installations,
• Supporting of wiring systems,
• Inspection and testing procedures.
