Handbags and Knapsacks
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for handbags and knapsacks. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 15 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards QB/T 1333-2010 “Handbag and knapsack,” GB 20400 "Leather and fur― Limit of harmful matter" and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, appearance, shock impact strength, seam strength, accessories, zip durability, colorfastness to rubbing, formaldehyde and AZO.
Primary failed items: shock impact strength and seam strength.
Leather Footwear
The General Administration of Quality supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for leather footwear. The spot check inspected 119 batches of samples; 12 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards QB/T 1002-2005 “Leather shoes,” GB 28011-2011 “Shanks for footwear” and QB/T 2955-2008 “Casual shoes.” The key items inspected on these samples were peeling strength of upper and sole, flexing resistance, abrasion resistance, attachment strength of heel, upper pull out strength, stiffness of shank, hardness of shank, minimum lengths of shanks, bending performance, heel hardness and appearance.
Primary failed items: minimum lengths of shanks, hardness of shank, stiffness of shank, bending performance and flexing resistance.
Athletic Footwear
The General Administration of Quality supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for athletic footwear. The spot check inspected 120 batches of samples; 6 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB/T 15107-2005 “Athletic footwear,” GB/T 532 “Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of adhesion to textile fabric” (ISO 36:2005,IDT), GB/T 3903.1 “Footwear - General test methods - Flexing resistance,” GB/T 3903.2 “Footwear - General test methods - Abrasion resistance,” GB/T 3903.3 “Footwear - General test methods - Peeling strength,” GB/T 3903.5 “Footwear - General test methods - Appearance quality” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were appearance, peeling strength of upper and sole, flexing resistance, abrasion resistance, adhesion of midsole and outsole and peeling strength of upper and foxing.
Primary failed items: flexing resistance, abrasion resistance and appearance.
Sportswear and Knitted Swimming Suits
The General Administration of Quality supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for sportswear and knitted swimming suits. The spot check inspected 90 batches of samples; 6 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB/T 22849-2009 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 22853-2009 “Knitted Sportswear,” FZ/T 73013-2010 “Knitted Swimming Suits” FZ/T 73020-2012 “Knitted Casual Wear,” FZ/T 81007-2012 “Casual Wear” and related standards. The key items inspected on sportswear were fiber content, formaldehyde, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to washing. The key items inspected on knitted swimming suits were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, AZO, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to sea water and colorfastness to chlorinated water.
Primary failed items: fiber content, colorfastness to washing and pH value.
Knitted T-shirts

School Uniforms

The inner Mongolia Administration For Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for silk quilts. The spot check inspected 50 batches of samples; 25 batches were found unqualified.

Children's Garments
The inner Mongolia Administration For Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children's garments. The spot check inspected 80 batches of samples; 46 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB 5296.4-2012 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel" and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, odor, AZO, colorfastness to washing, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to saliva and label.
Primary failed items: label, fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value and colorfastness.
Casual Apparel
The Guangzhou Consumers’ Commission launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for casual apparel. The spot check inspected 172 batches of samples; 36 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB 5296.4-2012 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel" and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, formaldehyde, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to light, pH value, AZO, label, seam slippage and pilling.
Primary failed items: AZO, fiber content, colorfastness, seam slippage, pH value and pilling.
Infant Apparel
The Weinan Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for infant apparel. The spot check inspected 23 batches of samples; 18 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB 5296.4-2012 "Instructions for use of products of consumer interest - Part 4: Textiles and apparel" and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were label, formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to rubbing and odor.

Apparel
The Jilin Administration for Industry & Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for apparel. The spot check inspected 40 batches of samples; 28 batches were found unqualified.
This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products," FZ/T 01053-2007 "Textiles-Designation of fiber content," GB/T 22849-2009 “Knitted T-shirt,” GB/T 2660-2008 “Shirts and Blouses,” GB/T 8878-2009 “Cotton knitted underwear,” FZ/T 81003-2003 “Children's Clothing and Student's Wear” and related standards. The key items inspected on these samples were fiber content, colorfastness, formaldehyde and pH value.

The Baoji Bureau of Quality and Technical supervision launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for apparel. The spot check inspected 20 batches of samples; 5 batches were found unqualified.

Administration for Industry & Commerce OF Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding. The spot check inspected 30 batches of samples; 20 batches were found unqualified.

The key items inspected on these samples were label, appearance, peeling strength of upper and sole, abrasion resistance, flexing resistance, hardness of shank, free formaldehyde, AZO, outsole hardness, upper pull out strength and colorfastness to rubbing of lining and insole.

The key items inspected on these samples were peeling strength of upper and sole, stiffness of shank, colorfastness to rubbing of lining, flexing resistance, whole shoe flexing, upper pull out strength, peeling strength of upper and foxing, peeling strength, colorfastness to rubbing of lining, heel hardness, base thickness, hardness of shank, AZO, elongation at break, tensile strength, density, abrasion resistance, sole abrasion, sole bond (outsole and midsole), adhesion strength between foxing and upper, heel attachment, hardness, free formaldehyde and flexing resistance for whole shoe.
