Description of New/Revised Technical Requirements

Weathering requirements prior to the fire testing of following materials has changed:

  1. Flexible Closures
  2. Canopies
  3. Wipers
  4. Weather-sealing devices

2008 revision of NFPA 415 required 100 hours of accelerated weathering to AATCC Test Method 111A and 2013 revision of NFPA 415 requires 100 hours of accelerated weathering to AATCC Test Method 192 Cycle 1 Option A.  Test methods are generally equivalent for the purpose of this evaluation except new revision specifies which of 4 weathering cycles to use.  As such we need confirmation that the materials used for flexible closures, canopies, wipers, and weather-sealing devices have been fire tested as required with the pre-test weathering specified in 2013 edition of NFPA 415.

CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: This Table and column "Verdict" can be used in determining how your current or future production is or will be in compliance with new/revised requirements.
