Standard: ANSI/NALFA LF-01 Section 3.8: Dimensional Tolerances

Certification Required: Required for the NALFA Certification Seal

Scope: Per ANSI/NALFA LF-01 Section 3.8: "This test measures the dimensional variance between tiles of laminate flooring in a manufactured free standing (unrestricted) shape in respect to thickness, length, width, straightness, and squareness."

Applicable Products: Laminate flooring

Test Procedure: Five full-size specimens are used for this test. Each specimen is measured for thickness, length, width, straightness, and squareness using a suitable caliper. All measurements are taken on the decorative surface of the tile. Each type of measurement is taken at the same location on each tile.

End Result: This test results in the dimensional tolerance for each dimension given as the maximum difference between measurements.
