Cathy Seymour, Senior Associate, Regulatory Affairs
Cathy Seymour has been with Intertek since 2006 and recently joined the Chemicals Group at Intertek Scientific and Regulatory Consultancy as a Senior Regulatory Associate in 2016.
Ms. Seymour’s primary focus and role is to interface with our clients, provide direction and understanding, as well as to assist them in navigating through the intricate details and requirements of the European REACH Regulation.
Working closely with our clients, Ms. Seymour compiles the required information to conduct REACH Chemical Responsibility Assessments, prepare IUCLID datasets for REACH, CLP Notifications, and SDS authoring.
With her attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, and her knowledge of the regulations, she supports the team in seamlessly completing a large number of projects under short deadlines.
Ms. Seymour leads all work activities to ensure ongoing compliance of our North American clients’ REACH programs by managing and disseminating annual Only Representative(OR) reporting, OR supply chain management, declarations of REACH compliance for downstream users, SIEF, lead registrant, substance authorization and/or ECHA communications.
Prior to joining the Chemicals Group in 2016, Ms. Seymour managed EU WEEE, packaging, batteries, RoHS (EU & China), North American e-waste, California proposition 65 and SVHC assessment and testing programs within the Intertek Market Access for Finished Goods team. She coordinated and participated in monthly client calls to discuss global emerging regulations pertaining to the electronics industry.
