GPC-NMR Analysis
Gel Permeation Chromatography - Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (GPC-NMR) analysis for a wide range of materials.
Interpretation of NMR spectra obtained from complex mixtures or formulations can be difficult, due to the number of overlapping peaks resulting from different components in the material. NMR analysis with GPC separation methods can help in the simplification of this process.
Intertek's GPC-NMR laboratory has linked a GPC apparatus to a flow cell that is placed directly in the NMR sample space. By taking NMR measurements continuously throughout the GPC separation the laboratory is able to generate a 2-dimensional plot, showing NMR spectra as a function of molecular weight. This can effectively separate out spectra due to different components, enabling a more complete analysis to be performed.
