Process Safety and Thermal Stability Testing
Thermal stability testing for industrial process safety and efficiency.
Safety is crucial to any processing operation. Our Safety Services provides process safety testing to define the characteristics of chemicals and their safe processing parameters. With many manufacturing sites, research centers, and numerous alliances around the world, our depth of experience and expertise is global and your service
- Reaction calorimeter (RC1)
Kinetic and thermodynamic reaction data under specific processing conditions are obtained with the Reaction Calorimeter. Quantity and rate of heat from chemical reactions can be measured.
- Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC)
Thermal stability data can be obtained with the Differential Scanning Calorimeter. This instrument generates both kinetic and thermodynamic data for undesired reactions under worst case conditions.
- Accelerating Rate calorimeter (ARC®)
The Accelerating Rate Calorimeter is used to measure thermal stability indices. This instrument simulates thermal runaway conditions that might occur in a plant reactor due to loss of heat transfer. It is used to obtain maximum rate data.
- ASTM E681-94 5L sphere
An ASTM E681-94 5L Sphere determines the lower and upper limits of flammability of gases and vapors at temperatures of up to 150°C.
- Thermal Activity Monitor (TAM)
