In 2015 in response to startling facts around the extent of modern day slavery the UK government issued statutory guidance relating to supply chain transparency and reporting obligations of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The intent behind this Act is to help prevent employment exploitation and increase disclosure of labour practices. For those organisations that fall under the Act they will need to ensure that modern slavery is not an issue in-house and within their supply chain by having to act, report and take preventative actions.

As a follow on to our webinar in February 2016, explaining what the Act meant, how to comply with it, and suggested ways to tackle it, this webinar will give you an update on what we have seen in the first year from the reporting requirements deadline. This webinar will provide an overview of the status of Statements so far and what we have learned as a result. Guest speaker will join Intertek experts in case studying  findings and real life examples of slavery issues companies are facing today and give suggested solutions to help you through this ongoing journey.
