Join Intertek at Japan’s Largest Trade Show for Functional & Health Ingredients: Hi Japan 2019

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, will be presenting and exhibiting at Health Ingredients (Hi) Japan at Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center from October 2-4, 2019.
Health Ingredients (Hi) Japan, Japan’s largest ingredients trade show, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, bringing together professionals in the functional ingredients industry around the world. Stakeholders will gather to learn more about the continuing development of functional ingredients and the health benefits that they provide. Attendees will get the latest information on natural food ingredients, organic ingredients, food additives, cosmeceuticals, substances for supplements, and learn more about contract manufacturing services.
Today, people are becoming more interested in functional foods, supplements and nutraceuticals; this market is expected to grow significantly in Japan over the coming years. Discovering functional ingredients and finding new and valuable ways of usage is a major focus in the food, nutraceuticals and pharmaceutical industries. This is a must-attend event as it will serve as a global platform offering the opportunity to drive product development initiatives forward. Attendees will have the chance to network with 600 exhibitors, 42,000 visitors, and will have the opportunity to sit in on 380 exhibitor presentations onsite.
During the event, Intertek Health, Environmental & Regulatory Services (HERS) experts will be exhibiting at Booth 1-089 and will be available for consultation. In addition to our booth, HERS expert, Kathy Musa-Veloso, Senior Director: Nutrition, Health Claims and Clinical Trials, will be presenting on “Claims Made in the Labeling of Foods and Dietary Supplements in the United States and Canada: Scientific and Regulatory Requirements” on October 3rd from 10:30-11:20am. Her presentation will cover the following topics for the United States and Canada:
- Claims permissible in the labeling and advertising of foods and dietary supplements;
- The scientific requirements for the substantiation of these claims; and
- Examples of acceptable and unacceptable claims.
