In Vitro Oral Care Product Testing

Do your oral care products, food or pharmaceuticals have the potential to cause direct external staining of teeth?
Discolouration of teeth and dental restoration materials is a major concern for consumers. As a result, manufacturers of consumer products should evaluate the propensity of their product to cause direct external staining to these materials. Identifying products with a high propensity to stain can help manufacturers avoid releasing products that are likely to elicit a negative consumer response.

In this case study, we demonstrate how an in vitro test can be used as a cost-effective tool for rapidly assessing the propensity of a product to cause direct external staining of dental hard tissue and composite restoration materials.
