Electrical products marketed in Mexico must meet Normas Oficiales Mexicanas (NOM) requirements, as well as relevant energy efficiency requirements, and show evidence of compliance with NOM standards.

Beginning June 3, 2019, the regulations will no longer allow some previous exceptions. Goods cannot be imported to Mexico without demonstrating compliance with all applicable NOMs.
