Nebuliser delivery of drugs offers a patient friendly means of transforming a medicine into a breathable aerosol. They offer advantages over other types of inhaled device of not requiring such strict patient coordination between inhalation and actuation, and so they are effective for treatment of paediatric, elderly, ventilated and sedated patients.
