Recognising People with Disabilities Around the Globe
Lowell, MA - Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries, lit their Lowell, Massachusetts Business Assurance headquarters purple on August 19 as part of the WeThe15 campaign to recognize the 1.2 billion people across the world with disabilities. Leading international organisations such as the Paralympics, the Special Olympics, and multiple United Nations agencies have united to launch WeThe15, which aspires to be the biggest ever human rights movement to represent people living with disabilities which, according to the International Paralympic Committee, is 15% of the global population.
Earlier this year, as part of Intertek’s commitment to supporting the disability community, Intertek CEO Andre Lacroix joined Valuable 500, a global community of CEOs who have committed to putting disability inclusion on their corporate agendas and using business as a force for good.
