Lintec Testing Services was founded in 1993 in Darlington in the North East of England and was acquired by Intertek in 2005.
The business has been marketed as Intertek ShipCare since 2011 and its service offerings have continually expanded, making it a global marine industry services market leader, supporting the provision of a range of Total Quality Assurance solutions for the global shipping community. This includes expert assistance with IMO 2020 regulations, marine fuel analysis, marine fuel Investigation, bunker quantity surveys, lubricant analysis, water and effluent analysis and firefighting foam testing. In addition, Intertek’s Caleb Brett laboratories and offices across the world handle testing and inspection work on a subcontracted basis from Intertek Lintec.
Returning to the Lintec branding harnesses the industry-leading recognition of this well-known name in the global marketplace and helps to better capture Intertek’s continued innovation within the shipping industry.
