Intertek Transportation Technologies UK recognised for bringing Quality & Safety to life with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Certification

Milton Keynes, UK: Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that Intertek Transportation Technologies UK has been awarded certification to ISO 14001 Environmental Management and to BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management standards. These certifications have been awarded by an independent, accredited certification body and demonstrate Intertek’s commitment to an integrated management system ensuring continued improvements in environmental and safety performance for its employees, the local community, customers and other stakeholders.
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems and specifies organisations' requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving environmental management systems. The transition to ISO 14001 further embeds Intertek Transportation Technologies’ strategy to reduce waste, pollution and energy use and to also mitigate any other environmental impacts.
The internationally-recognised BS OHSAS 18001 standard is a framework for an occupational health and safety management system which introduces a systematic approach to identifying, controlling and decreasing the risks associated with health and safety within the workplace as part of day-to-day operations. By working to OHSAS 18001, Transportation Technologies UK ensures that the health and well-being of employees, sub-contractors and the public remains a priority for the business.
