Intertek Launches Semi-Annual Follow Up Inspections Program For Its ETL Listed Certification

Qualified manufacturers benefit from fewer disruptions and greater productivity throughout the year.
Arlington Heights, IL - Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, today announces the launch of its Semi-Annual Follow Up Inspections Program for ETL Listed products. Companies whose products appear in the ETL Directory of Listed Products typically face quarterly inspections at their manufacturing facility to ensure the product is consistent with the samples tested in the laboratory. Reducing the number of inspections from four per year to two per year helps to minimize potential disruption at the facility, enables the manufacturer to maintain optimal productivity, and still maintain overall quality and product compliance.
Product categories initially targeted for this new program include a wide range of electronic devices and equipment certified to standards such as UL-60065 and UL-60950. Intertek has designed its Semi-Annual program to give more manufacturers the ability, and the flexibility, to take advantage of its benefits.

The program is available to qualified manufacturers effective immediately, and it will be offered to Intertek clients around the world. Eligibility guidelines for Semi-Annual Inspections are available on Intertek’s web page, www.intertek.com/product-certifications/marks/semi-annual-follow-up. Guidelines are specific to existing Intertek certification clients, new Intertek certification clients, and manufacturers switching an existing listing from another OSHA-recognized NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory).
