Intertek is first lab to offer dual-market accredited solutions to advance security industry
Oakdale, MN – Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, today announced that it is now offering security equipment manufactures the ability to test and certify their products domestically inside North America to meet the growing EU security equipment market demands. Intertek is the first lab to offer a bundled, accredited service which will allow manufacturers the ability to remain compliant with security standards in both North America and the European markets without causing interruption in business or a slowdown in certifying products.

The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) recognizes Intertek’s competence in electrical testing and has expanded the scope of accreditation for the Oakdale, MN laboratory in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005. More specifically, North American manufacturers looking to have their security products meet the EU requirements can expect the following testing to be performed:
- Accredited one stop certification services to N.A. and EU Security Market standards such as ANSI/UL 294 & EN 50130 and EN 50131.
