Webinar Description

Compliance with the new EU regulation, managing classification, notification and product safety labelling, is required for most substances, irrespective of tonnage and use.

Meeting the CLP requirements, including notification, are prerequisite to market access into the EU and will need to be addressed alongside the challenging REACH deadlines already facing companies in the EU market.

On January 20, 2009, the European Union’s Regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) entered into force. It aligns existing EU legislation to the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

The CLP Regulation will successively replace the current rules on classification, labelling and packaging of substances (Directive 67/548/EEC) and mixtures (Directive 1999/45/EC). Substance classification, labelling and packaging must comply with the new rules by December 1, 2010.

Join us on September 22, 2010 for a FREE 1 hour webinar to learn more about how to get your business ready for CLP and to complete notification before the December 1, 2010 deadline. This webinar will be followed by a 10 minute interactive Q&A session, allowing registrants to get answers to their most pressing concerns.

Topics to be addressed:

  • What is CLP?
  • How does CLP impact your business?
  • Requirements and timelines for CLP implementation
  • Notification requirements of dangerous substances to ECHA for December 1, 2010
  • Safety Data Sheet changes
  • Product labeling changes
