APTECH group's new leadership and expanded services help meet the region's demand for engineering consultancy services

Intertek, a leading global provider of quality and safety solutions, has expanded its commitment to the Asia-Pacific region by establishing a new office in Singapore for its APTECH group. With this new operation, the company brings its global network of engineering consultancy experts within easy reach of the region's Petrochemical and Power industry sectors.

The new office joins a significant Intertek presence in Singapore, where the company has extensive operations supporting the region's petroleum, chemical, consumer and electrical industries.

Additionally, Cory WJ Sutherland has been appointed as the Asia-Pacific Director for the APTECH group. In his new role, Sutherland will focus on business development and market strategy, providing full engineering consultative support services for major Asia-Pacific industry leaders such as ExxonMobil, Shell, PETRONAS, Chevron, and Talisman.

"Our goal is to ensure that every client has a 'world class' asset integrity management system," said Sutherland. "Through our long-term dedication, responsive customer service, and value-added philosophy, Intertek is committed to supporting each and every client with their safety, reliability, and integrity initiatives."

Intertek APTECH's services help clients to identify and prevent the failure of equipment, improve reliability, predict life span, and analyze risks and costs - ultimately improving the operation and maintenance of vital infrastructure assets. These consultative services include asset integrity management (AIM), risk-based inspection (RBI), condition assessments, and other complimentary engineering support services such as FFS (Fitness-for-Service) and RUL (Remaining Useful Life).
