Renowned European Health and Environmental Expert Joins Intertek

Intertek, (www.intertek.com/green) the leading provider of quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries globally, is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Torben Norlem, Esq. to Intertek's global health and environmental specialist team.

Mr. Norlem Esq. joins Intertek following 7 years of employment with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). During his tenure, he was in charge of EU RoHS in Denmark, a member on the European Commission's Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), and the Danish representative in the European RoHS enforcement network. Moreover, Torben was a representative for Denmark in the negotiation of REACH in the EU, and was responsible for the initial implementation of REACH in Danish law. He will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will assist Intertek's customers in understanding and complying with global health and environmental regulations.

Mr. Norlem received his master's degree and law degree from the Faculty of Law at Copenhagen University and brings to Intertek over 14 years of experience with product and market regulation including 7 years in the environmental compliance field for chemicals, including their use in consumer applications.
