Intertek is Exclusively Chosen as Quality Partner for Licensed Products of Expo Shanghai 2010

Intertek, the leading provider of quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries worldwide has been appointed as the exclusive quality partner to Sinnsa, the Senior Sponsor of Expo Shanghai 2010.

Intertek will help Sinnsa supervise the quality of ‘Expo- licensed’ products and the code of conduct for suppliers of these products. Intertek’s team, consisting of some of the company’s best quality experts in the world, have strategically designed a tailor-made quality service program, alongside a specialized IT management and service system for the project.

Ensuring that the quality of licensed products sold at the EXPO, as well as the social and environmental behaviour of product suppliers comply with prescribed standards is an important part of ensuring the overall success and integrity of reputation of the EXPO Shanghai 2010 event.

On 7 April, 2008, Intertek and Sinnsa held a forum on the Quality Management of Licensed Products in Shanghai. This was attended by Officials from Shanghai Municipal Government, Bureau of World EXPO 2010, Licensed suppliers, British Consulate and Business Chamber.

Expo Shanghai 2010 is a pivotal event for China to bring the world into its home, and for the world to feel at home in China. By dedicating a 5.28 square kilometers in the heart of Shanghai for exhibitions, events and forums on the Expo theme, "Better City, Better Life," Shanghai hopes to build a powerful and lasting illustration of sustainable and harmonious urban living. To date, Shanghai Expo Bureau has reported they have received enrollments from 168 countries and 30 international organizations.
