Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a national body in India. The BIS Act, 2016, Rules & Regulations is a means for providing a third-party guarantee of quality, safety, and reliability of products to the customer. Under BIS Act 2016, BIS Rules 2018 and BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations 2018, there is a provision for Grant of Licence (GoL). The Bureau grants a licence based on successful assessment of the manufacturing infrastructure, production process, quality control and testing capabilities of a manufacturer through a visit to its manufacturing premises. Conformity of the product to the relevant standard(s) is also established through third party laboratory testing or testing in the manufacturing premises or a combination of both. The applicant may choose one of the two options available for grant of licence.  It covers BIS license for both Domestic and Foreign manufactures for chemicals.

In this on-demand webinar we will talk on “Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme (FMCS)” for chemicals. We will discuss the requirements, approval process, estimated time, fees structure, validity etc to complete the certification under FMCS.
