Prams, pushchairs, and strollers, also known as wheeled child conveyances, can present a range of hazards to infants. Robust assessment of these products to EN 1888–1:2018 or EN 1888-2:2018 standards is important to ensure that all risks are assessed including chemical, thermal and mechanical hazards entrapment, entanglement and suffocation hazards. In this article, Intertek juvenile products testing expert, George Carter, describe  the regulatory context to testing prams and highlights what steps are necessary to ensure compliance and bring a safe and well-performing product to market.
