Cetane labs test to ASTM for cetane number and other national and regulatory protocols. The cetane number, cetane Index and derived cetane number (IQT) tests measure the ignition quality of diesel, gasoil, biodiesel, heating gasoil and number-two fuel oil fuels.
Cetane tests measure diesel and fuel oil characteristics related to fuel quality. Intertek cetane labs measure fuels at refineries, storage facilities and pipelines for cetane ratings and other properties.
