Intertek Strengthens Position as the Leading Expert Service Support Provider for the Fine Chemicals and Specialties Sector

Paris, France - Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, today announced that Dr. Robert Fellous joined the company as the Global Business Line Leader for the Fine Chemicals & Specialties industry.
“Dr. Fellous brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Intertek at a time when there has been a step change in the demand for more stringent approaches to regulatory matters, new product registrations and associated testing in the sector and especially in the health and beauty arena," said Dr. Andrew Swift, Executive Vice President of Intertek’s Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Division. “We are very excited for Robert to join our team as he brings renowned and international expertise to reinforce our group in its expert testing and advisory services.”
Dr. Fellous joins Intertek from Symrise where he served as Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs Scent & Care. Prior to Symrise, he has held senior roles with International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), L’Oreal, and Medibridge. Dr. Fellous has also held a number of eminent industry positions such as the Chair of the EFFA REACh Task Force and Fragrance Expert Committee and the COLIPA-AISE-EFFA Joint Perfumery Steering & Safety Group. He studied pharmaceuticals at the Université Paris V, gaining a Pharmacology Ph.D.and attended the University of California, Berkeley where he gained a post-doctoral fellowship in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Fellous also holds an INSEAD MBA.
