Designed as a supplementary technical framework for the requirements of ISO 9001, the frame and structure of the IECQ HSPM QC 080000 specification is in fact the same as ISO 9001. It does, however, stipulate some specific control requirements related to specific sections of ISO 9001. All these specific requirements are related to the management of Hazardous Substances (HS). IECQ requires that the HSPM certification should be based on the implementation of a QMS.
The process of IECQ HSPM QC 080000 certification is similar to that of ISO 9001:

4. Conduct Audit (Stage 1 and Stage 2)
5. Certificate Issue
Each certificate is valid for three years. Any stakeholder can access the IECQ website to view a certified organization's certificate.
