High Energy Piping
Intertek conducts Asset Integrity Management of High Energy Piping systems. Major failures have occurred over the past 30 years which has resulted in the development of extensive Asset Integrity Management programs for High Energy Piping systems in power plants.
High energy piping systems are subject to damage mechanisms such as high temperature creep, fatigue, creep-fatigue interaction, and flow accelerated corrosion. The development and implementation of Asset Integrity Management programs ensures the safety of personnel, reliable operation, and minimizes inspection costs. Intertek has provided piping stress analyses, ranked critical welds, determined the current condition of hundreds of piping systems, and has created optimized inspection schedules for many of these systems.
