The Turkish Chemicals Inventory and Control Legislation, also known as the Turkish Chemical Regulation, poses obligations on importers and manufacturers to notify the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry of existing and new chemical substances, either on their own or in preparations by the March 31, 2011 deadline. The chemical data requirements depend on the tonnage per annum manufactured or imported into Turkey. After this date, a submission must be made each year to Turkish authorities for all substances manufactured in or imported into Turkey in quantities greater than 1 tonne per annum.
Any business importing or manufacturing chemicals in Turkey must understand their legal obligations and meet the registration deadline of March 31, 2011, by submitting a notification in the Turkish language using IT tools made available by the Turkish authorities.
