(Sandefjord, Norway) Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has signed a multi-year frame agreement contract to support Statoil with technical inspection services. This agreement enables Statoil to continue receiving technical inspection services that ensure the quality, safety and reliability of a wide range of equipment used by Statoil for the company’s exploration and production projects.

Intertek has been working with Statoil since the original frame agreement contract in 2007. Inspection services support Statoil’s expectations for high quality, on-time deliveries and reduced costs across its global supply chain. Intertek’s services also provide the assurance that industry, local and international standards are being met. Intertek’s technical experts will provide inspection support for inspection of oil country tubular goods (OCTG), linepipe, conductors, well heads (WH), christmas trees (XT), work over risers (WOR), well completion equipment, components, coating, anodes and laybarge.

“As a leading provider of Total Quality Assurance solutions for the energy industry, we are proud of our partnership with Statoil,” said Jan H Henriksen, Regional Director for the North Sea Region and Global Account Manager for Statoil. “This contract award is a further testament to Intertek’s commitment to focus on our customers’ needs in providing them with access to a global network of reliable, industry-recognised technical expertise.”

This new Frame Agreement supersedes the original contract through an increase in scope and recognises Statoil’s international operations.
