Morgan City, LA - Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has been awarded a non-destructive testing (NDT) services contract from a subsidiary of Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (“Enterprise”). The agreement includes NDT services that will be provided on the Chaparral Waha Lateral Pipeline, an 82-mile pipeline, located in west Texas, transporting natural gas liquids (NGLs) to Andrews, Texas from the Seminole Pump Station in Monahans, Texas.

Enterprise has appointed Intertek to provide NDT services such as weld quality examination to help ensure the integrity of the pipeline’s welds. This produces tangible benefits such as safety and quality, of not only the pipeline itself, but also the product running through it.

Chris Moreau, President of Global X-ray &Testing, an Intertek Company, said: “We’re very happy to continue our strong relationship with Enterprise by providing value added services designed to help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Chaparral Waha Lateral Pipeline.”

Intertek helps ensure the reliability and safety of products, equipment and plant assets with world-class services in non-destructive testing, materials testing and welding quality. Our expanded geographic presence within North America allows us to support more clients with services such as these, and help them minimize risks that could impact the operations process, personnel safety and the environment.
