Intertek Opens New laboratory in Portugal Specialising in Food, Water Microbiology and Nutritional Testing

Oporto, Portugal – Intertek, the leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has expanded its global network of laboratory services with the opening of a food laboratory in Oporto, specialising in food, water microbiology and nutritional testing.
The new laboratory is highly advanced and boasts state-of-the-art testing equipment such as the Dynex Elisa System DS2, and the SMART Trac II system, which use a unique combination of advanced technology and reliable drying capability to obtain food oils, fats and moisture quantification results.
The laboratory is managed by a team of experts with years of experience in the food and water industry, serving producers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure the quality and security of their products and raw materials. The laboratory is strategically located in Oporto serving all of Portugal and the western part of the Spain, including Galicia and Madrid.
This expansion of food analytical services within its global network of laboratories reflects the important role Intertek plays within the increasingly global food supply chain and is evidence that Intertek is committed to the safety and quality assurance of food products.
