Intertek awards ISO 22000 certificate to Square Consumer Products Ltd.

Dhaka, Bangladesh -- Intertek, a leading global provider of testing and inspection services, has awarded an ISO 22000:2005 certificate to Square Consumer Products Ltd. (SCPL) in a ceremony held today at Square Center, Dhaka.
Mr. David Gregory, Vice President of Intertek International Limited, presented the certificate to Mr. M. Ashiqul Hoque Chawdhury, Executive Director of SCPL. Mr. Ronald Biswas, Country Manager for Intertek Bangladesh Limited was among the officials and invited guests present at the ceremony.
ISO 22000, Food safety management systems - Requirements for any organization in the food chain, was first published in 2005. The standard provides international harmonization in the field of food safety standards, offering a tool to implement HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) throughout the food supply chain.
Intertek has awarded SCPL's ISO 22000 certification in recognition of their compliance with these food safety management systems requirements, as well as the continual improvement of their processes in the manufacturing and packaging of Spices, Mixed Spices, Snacks (Chips/Sticks), Pickles and Chutneys.
