Intertek Provides REACH Data Sharing and Licensing Solutions

REACH data holders have an obligation to share toxicological evaluations and vertebrate test data with the lead registrant of a substance. Most data holders do not have the resources to meet these requirements and are faced with meeting the obligations for sharing data under REACH. Companies that produce studies want to ensure they will be properly compensated.
Intertek provides a global network of REACH centers, Substance Information Exchange Forums (SIEF) expertise, and regulatory experts to enable sharing of data. Intertek will identify consortia, SIEFs and lead registrants that require specific copyrighted test studies, and negotiate compensation term arrangements under the data compensation rules provided in the REACH Guidance for Data Sharing. Intertek’s qualified resources evaluate the quality of the data, communicate with the proper stakeholders, and put in place the correct compensation agreement for this data.
