Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a range of industries worldwide, today announces the ETL Listing of System Sensor i³ line of smoke detectors. System Sensor is a global leader in smoke detection and notification technology. They chose to add the ETL Listed Mark to their i3 products because of Intertek’s reputation for excellent customer service and for the cost-efficiencies gained through ETL certification.

“The request for an ETL Listing on System Sensor’s i³ smoke detectors is indicative of the growth of our Life Safety program, as well as the widespread acceptance and recognition of the ETL Mark” said Tom Connaughton, Director, Life Safety & Security Services, Intertek. “It represents another world-class manufacturer who sought an alternative to the status quo in product certification and found a faster, more efficient and more cost-effective solution with Intertek’s ETL Mark.”

The ETL Mark is accepted by AHJs and retailers across North America as a product’s mark of compliance to applicable safety standards. Intertek is an OSHA recognized NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) in the U.S. and accredited as a Testing Organization and Certification Body by the Standards Council of Canada. The Company tests and certifies a wide range of products to ANSI/UL, CSA, ASTM, NFPA, IEC and other local, national and international standards.
