Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries globally, will exhibit at the Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition (VIETFISH) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (Hall A, Stand No. 616) from 12 to 14 June 2009.
Intertek inspection and testing services help companies in the global seafood and food industries worldwide determine the quality and safety of their products. With an international network of testing and analytical laboratories, Intertek has key seafood dedicated laboratories across Europe and Asia, including Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Germany and Poland.

Intertek’s Seafood & Food Testing Laboratory in Cantho City, near the Mekong river, is located in the heart of the Vietnamese aquaculture industry and provides critical support to local and international companies that are sourcing and producing seafood in the region. The laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 and approved by the Vietnam National Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries Quality Administrative Directorate (NAFIQAD).

Parties across the seafood supply-chain use Intertek services - from farmers, aquatic producers, distributors, wholesalers, processors, manufacturers and packagers to retailers and regulatory agencies. Through third-party testing, inspection, auditing and certification services, Intertek experts help seafood clients increase visibility, assurance, food quality control, safety and overall cost and time efficiency across the supply chain.

Intertek also provides site and factory audits, quality assurance programmes and certifications to international food and seafood standards such as BRC, SQF, IFS, Global GAP, HALAL, HACCP, ISOs and GMP.

Mr. Long Ha, Country Manager of Intertek Vietnam, said, “Seafood safety continues to be an important issue in all countries globally, and ensuring this across increasingly complex supply chains and distribution patterns is a constant challenge for the seafood industry. At VIETFISH we will be demonstrating various ways that we help clients navigate the complex and evolving food testing, regulatory and certification environment.”
