Intertek, the leading provider of quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries worldwide has opened a new facility in Bangladesh to further office its support to the global petroleum and agriculture industries. The Bangladesh expansion complements Intertek’s growing network of service locations in South Asia and the world.

The new Intertek office is located in Chittagong, and will provide in-field testing and inspection services across Southern Bangladesh around the Bay of Bengal area including the cities of Chittagong, Dhaka and Khulna. Chittagong is Bangladesh’s principal trading port and the region is a hub of activity for international and local traders of products and commodities through the region.

The facility will provide important and rapid-turnaround services to the oil and agriculture industry, testing, certifying and inspecting a wide range of petroleum, chemicals and agricultural products. The new Chittagong facility adds to Intertek’s existing facilities and services in Bangladesh, including Government and Consumer Goods services, and brings the total number of Intertek employees in Bangladesh to more than 260.
