Intertek Launches Process Solution for Restricted Substance Compliance

Intertek (www.intertek.com), the leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries, has launched an effective Compliance Assurance System (CAS) Solution to deal with challenging restricted substances laws recently enacted. The CAS Solution ensures businesses that their products comply with applicable restricted substances legislation and provides an effective means to utilizing your current quality management system.
Current and new chemicals legislation, like CPSIA, RoHS, California Proposition 65, and REACH will require immediate action by retailers, manufacturers, and distributors, who need to ensure that their products comply in order to be sold, while maintaining or developing a competitive advantage through efficient implementation.
Intertek’s CAS solution provides a comprehensive, onsite program that develops a match to the customer’s businesses needs by eliminating negative impacts, such as loss of sales, product recall, and obsolete inventory. The program includes a review of restricted substance legislation relevant to the company’s business and product lines, a gap assessment of any existing approaches implemented, training to perform risk-based product assessments, and a test plan for your products. Upon completion, the business will receive an Intertek CAS Certificate evidencing a successful conclusion of the program.
