Intertek (ITRK.L), a leading global provider of quality and safety solutions, will provide the latest information on quality management systems (QMS) requirements for Aerospace suppliers at the inaugural Aerospace Supplier eXchange (ASX) conference and exhibition, taking place 27th - 29th May 2009 in Singapore.

Calin Moldovean, Intertek’s President of Auditing and Systems Certification, is scheduled to present "Achieving Aerospace Excellence - AS Certification Updates" at the conference on 28th May. He will discuss the importance of the aerospace QMS standards AS9100, AS9110, and AS9120, including the latest market trends and the benefits of third-party certification.

Additionally, during the ASX exhibition, Intertek will conduct informative "clinics" to provide attendees with further information and guidance on how to achieve AS9100 Series certification. To learn more about ASX, or to register online, visit www.aerosupplierx.com.

"Many global Tier 1 and 2 OEMs have established themselves in Singapore. Local suppliers will soon discover that third-party certification to AS9100, AS9110, or AS9120 is a requirement that the OEMs will flow down on any contracts for commercial or military aerospace products," explains Christopher Yeong, Asia-Pacific Regional Director for Auditing and Systems Certification at Intertek. "As one of the top registrars worldwide for the AS9100 Series of standards, Intertek has the knowledge and expertise to guide suppliers through the certification process in the most efficient manner possible."
