Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a range of industries worldwide, today announced the expansion of its safety glazing testing and certification services with the addition of bullet resistance testing for glass and fenestration products. This addition gives Intertek the ability to provide glass manufacturers a compete solution for testing and certifying glass products in a variety of industries, such as government, automotive, locomotive and building construction.

With the 2008 acquisition of H.P. White Laboratories, experts in ballistics resistance testing, Intertek is now able to offer a full suite of safety glazing test services for glass products to government and commercial standards, including UL 752, ASTM F 1233-8, NIJ - STD - 0108.01, EN 1063, BSI 5051, and FRA 223, ANSI Z97.1, ANSI/SAE Z26.1-2006, CAN/CGSB 12.1, CPSC 16, CPSC 1201, and UL 9.

Intertek has been providing testing and certification for the glass industry for over 40 years and now offers the convenience of receiving glass testing and certification from one vendor. In addition to bullet resistance testing, Intertek provides glass testing for failure analysis, security, fire, performance, and Safety Glazing Certification Council (SGCC) certification to ANSI Z97.1, CPSC 16 and CFR 1201 safety standards.
