REACH regulations (Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals) have been in effect since June 1st, 2007. The main objective of this regulation is to ensure protection of consumers’ health and the environment.

You have completed the pre-registration phase pertaining to the list of 15 Very High Concern Substances (SVHC) published by ECHA on October 28th, 2008. You are now entering the Registration phase.

Intertek participates in forums of which share information on SVHC and can carry out some missing tests.

The deadline for Registration depends on annual tonnage. If the tonnage is over 1000 tons, the deadline is 3 years, following the coming into force of REACH regulation. Firms will have a 6 year deadline for tonnage between 100 and 1000 tons. If the tonnage is lower than 100 tons the deadline is 11 years .
