Intertek Launches Safety Tested Mark for Toys

This comprehensive certification system includes a branded trust mark which enables Intertek clients to promote safety as an intrinsic part of their value proposition.

While many toy recalls in 2007 involved manufacturing defects, the root cause (in more than 75% of cases) was a design flaw. So Intertek’s certification program includes Design Hazard Analysis®, uses extensive testing and open-market surveillance to ensure clients can design-in product safety, as well as manage-out manufacturing risk.
